Search an exact name or choose an “over the last number of days” value. A one-day entry functions as a 24-hour-style query and three days as a 72-hour-style query. - Open released mode in a normal browser session. Record the date, identity fields, admit date, charge, and arresting agency.

Detention Center Release Records
Use the sheriff's Open Records Request or call Jail/Inmate Records at 972-932-4337. Identify the person by full name, date of birth, booking date, and local or SO number when known. Ask for the booking and release sheet, actual release date and time, release code and code legend, authority or order, destination or receiving agency, and booking photograph if needed.
The sheriff says requesters who accept a redacted copy will receive it within ten working days. A request for an unredacted record may be referred for an Attorney General ruling and can take up to 45 working days. These are the sheriff's process descriptions, not guarantees for every request. No specific sheriff copy-fee schedule was verified, so ask about costs before choosing delivery.

No official source states a fixed release hour, exit door, waiting location, rideshare procedure, weekend routine, or property-counter rule. Call the jail about an active release. Do not wait at an assumed door or treat a court order as proof that processing has finished, since holds, identity checks, paperwork, and transport can intervene.

Kaufman Justice Center Release Trail
Kaufman's Justice Center was built beside the existing jail. Sheriff, court, clerk, and pretrial offices now cluster along 1900 to 1906 E US-175. This makes an in-person document trail geographically compact, but it does not combine the offices or their duties.
The sheriff holds the booking and physical release transaction. The proper clerk holds the filed disposition. Pretrial Bond Supervision addresses monitored bond release. Kaufman County CSCD addresses adult probation, while TDCJ Parole Division handles parole after state prison. Carry the same name, booking number, and case number between offices so their records can be reconciled.

Detention Center Release Transfer Checks
